Arthur Cazaux feels better after fainting

Arthur Cazaux left the Miami hospital early Tuesday afternoon, after spending the night there for observation. On Monday, the Frenchman fainted in the middle of a match in the 1st qualifying round against his friend Harold Mayot (6/4, 5/7, 1/2).

More fear than harm for Cazaux, who suffered from severe dehydration in the Miami heat. But the rest was not easy for the 21-year-old Frenchman, who continued to suffer from "severe generalized cramps" and was only able to get up again on Tuesday morning to "go to the toilet with his walker".

The Frenchman will undergo further tests in the coming days to remove any doubts about his state of health and the causes of his fainting spell.

Stéphane Huet (Cazaux coach, Tuesday morning): "He gave us a big scare. He did have a bit of a fainting spell, with loss of consciousness and paralysis. It wasn't a minor thing. He then suffered severe generalized cramps.
It was a short night, but he's much better this morning, and was able to get up and go to the bathroom with his walker. Everything's fine, but we need to know the circumstances of his illness to find out exactly what happened. For the moment, he's resting because he's extremely tired."

Arthur Cazaux (via X): "Just a quick note to let you know that I'm feeling better. I've just left the hospital in Miami after spending the night there for treatment and a long series of tests. Today I'm feeling better. My blood pressure and my heart have remained stable.
In the end, it was more fear than harm. Now my body needs to rest and I hope to be back on the courts very soon."

Surely Nadal does not lose twice in a row to the same guy? Not in clay anyway

I don't think Rafa thought of this as a revenge match. I think he is playing against himself more likely. Just trying to build on each match he plays and hoping he stays pain free.
