France's Lois Boisson continues her meteoric rise!

France's Lois Boisson continues her meteoric rise!

Lois Boisson is undoubtedly the rising star of French women's tennis. Daughter of former professional basketball player Yann Boisson, the 20-year-old (she'll be 21 on May 16) is closing in on the Top 100 by leaps and bounds, moving through the ranks at breakneck speed.

The Frenchwoman won the most important title of her career on Sunday, beating compatriot Chloé Paquet (ranked 133rd in the world on Monday and who served for the match) in the final of the WTA 125 de Saint-Malo (4-6, 7-6, 6-3). In the semi-finals, she also scored a prestigious victory over Alizé Cornet (ranked 99th in the world). And let's not forget the feat she pulled off in the first round, defeating another compatriot, Varvara Gracheva (world No. 88).

The title enabled her to make a further leap up the WTA rankings, moving up 39 places to 152nd in the world. Impressive when you consider that she was still ranked 603rd in the world on May 06, 2023, which represents an increase of 451 places in just one year. And it's probably far from over.

Zverev just came out playing 120% compared to his usual level. Nadal for his first match actually played nice. Had he played lower ranked players to get into the groove probably a different match. He

27 year old against a 37 year old with all kinds of health/injury issues. As much as I would love to see Nadal progress, logic says the opposite is most likely.

As Mats said, Rafa can beat 90% of the players. This match is not 1st round, but a semi 😉 Vamos GOAT
