Cachin relaunches against Nadal in Madrid

Cachin relaunches against Nadal in Madrid

Much better than at the start of the match, Pedro Cachin got back on track on a much quieter Court Manolo Santana (1-6, 7-6 after 2h12 of duel). Taking advantage of a Spaniard losing intensity and consistency (11 unforced errors), the Argentine finally seized his chance (breaking 3 times in the set and serving twice for the set).

Much more aggressive than in the first set, the 91st-ranked player in the world had a scare when it came to closing out the set, but he went on to clinch a decisive third act (with a superb backhand passing winner). Nadal, for his part, will have to put a lot more intensity into his game, particularly in terms of ball length, if he wants to get back on court tomorrow (in the last 16).

Will the king of clay be able to get back to his best and win?

What arrogance! He is King of Shanks... his backhand is not comparable to his competitors... He lost because he isn't good enough, neither is his humility or sense of humour.
