Alcaraz skips Rome!

Alcaraz skips Rome!

Rome has already lost one of its biggest stars.

Week after week is looking a little too similar for Carlos Alcaraz. Withdrew from Monte-Carlo and Barcelona, the world number 3 has announced his withdrawal from the Rome Masters 1000.

In a message posted on his social networks, he explains: "I felt a pain after playing in Madrid, a discomfort in my arm. Today, I went for a check-up and found muscle edema, the result of my last injury. Unfortunately, I won't be able to play in Rome. I need to rest to recover and be able to play 100% pain-free".

As a result, the Spaniard will arrive at Roland Garros with only one tournament played on clay (Madrid).

After a satisfactory tournament in Spain, despite his defeat in the quarter-finals, 'Carlito' seems to have opted for caution by withdrawing from the last major clay-court tournament before the French Open. With his preparation in such disarray, Alcaraz's chances of success in Paris may be slightly lower than expected.

Fortunately for him, he lost in the third round last year (in Rome) and will therefore remain, come what may, world number 3 at Roland-Garros.

What arrogance! He is King of Shanks... his backhand is not comparable to his competitors... He lost because he isn't good enough, neither is his humility or sense of humour.
