Binaghi, President of the Italian Tennis Federation: "When you win a lot, you have to work even harder".

Binaghi, President of the Italian Tennis Federation: When you win a lot, you have to work even harder.

2024 was a pivotal year for Italian tennis. Jannik Sinner dominated the ATP circuit and was rewarded by climbing to first place in the ATP rankings after Roland-Garros 2024.

On the women's side, Jasmine Paolini revealed herself to the general public and, at 28, achieved the highest ranking of her career (4th in the WTA).

Italy won a gold medal in women's doubles at the Olympic Games, the Davis Cup and the Billie Jean King Cup.

Angelo Binaghi, President of the Italian Tennis Federation, spoke of Italy's crazy last few months in tennis.

"Are we capable of reproducing a year like this? Never say never, it's a joyous moment, because successes have come from all sides.

The girls, the boys and also from an organizational point of view, both with the finals in Italy and with the organization of the Davis Cup for the next three years.

When you win a lot, you have to work even harder. Padel continues to grow, and next year there will be a pickleball surprise.

A tennis model to follow in Italy? The majority, as is often the case in Italy, try to kill us and get us into trouble.

We're broad-shouldered, tough and stubborn. We go forward without looking back at those who wish us ill," he told Centotrentuno.
