Prize money: Sinner could dethrone Alcaraz with a victory in Turin

Jannik Sinner could end up with the highest prize money of the season, dethroning his tour rival: Carlos Alcaraz.

The Spaniard currently leads the ATP earnings ranking with $16.5 million. His two wins in the group stage of the ATP Finals in Turin earned him an additional $500,000, also qualifying him for the semifinals, a feat he hadn't achieved in two years.

Behind him, the Italian is currently far behind with $14.3 million. However, the Italian could surpass Alcaraz if he wins the ATP Finals without conceding a single defeat. An achievement that would earn him an additional $5 million.

Lorenzo Musetti managed to move ahead of Félix Auger-Aliassime for the eighth place in the rankings. His $360,000 earned in recent tournaments, including the ATP Finals, allows him to break into the top 10, while the Canadian is losing ground.

As for Novak Djokovic, absent from the Masters, his victory in Athens brought his annual earnings to $5.12 million.

The top 10 below:

1 – Carlos Alcaraz: $16.5M

2 – Jannik Sinner: $14.3M

3 – Alexander Zverev: $5.50M

4 – Novak Djokovic: $5.12M

5 – Taylor Fritz: $5.03M

6 – Alex de Minaur: $4.59M

7 – Ben Shelton: $4.35M

8 – Lorenzo Musetti: $4.25M
