Jabeur wins two WTA Awards
Ons Jabeur had a tricky 2024, which she had to end before the US Open due to shoulder discomfort.
However, the Tunisian stood out for her actions both on and off the court, earning her two awards at the WTA Awards: the Karen Krantzcke Sportsmanship Award, which recognizes her behavior and fair play, and the Peachy Kellmeyer Award for her involvement in the players' community and the initiatives she has been able to take on behalf of the WTA.
These two awards, which she won last year, are voted for by the tour's players.
Finally, two other awards were presented on Wednesday.
Aryna Sabalenka won the Diamond Aces Award, in recognition of her commitment to promoting women's tennis among fans and the media.
And Renzo Furlan was named Coach of the Year, after helping Jasmine Paolini reach two Grand Slam finals and finish the season ranked 4th in the world.
