Apostolos Tsitsipas reacts to a video shared by his son about narcissistic parents
Stefanos Tsitsipas posted a publication on Instagram summarizing his last few months. Among them, a shared video evoking the theme of children from narcissistic parents.
This has sparked controversy and could be taken as innuendo towards the Greek's parents.
Stefanos was coached for a long time by Apostolos Tsitsipas, his father, before announcing their separation in August 2024.
According to rumors, their relationship wasn't always rosy. Speculation was back in the air following the sharing of this video.
Apostolos reacted to the video: "This post isn't his, someone else made it.
This post, from what I've seen, is on YouTube. He borrowed it from YouTube and posted it, he did a repost, that's what it's called.
Everybody does reposts, what does that mean? Stefanos is simply saying that parents love their children very much, love them deeply; they have a pathological love for their children, that's what he means.
Narcissism means a pathological love for my children. And I want my children to be better than me, that's what it means.
He's not talking about anyone in particular, he's just saying that parents love their children a lot.
That's the message, that's the point. Parents love their children very much, and rightly so. And sometimes, they love them pathologically."
