ATP Awards - Dimitrov receives the Sportsmanship Award!
As is customary, the ATP takes advantage of the off-season to bestow various individual awards on the major players of the past season. One of the most closely watched awards, the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award, was presented on Friday.
After Casper Ruud in 2022 and Carlos Alcaraz in 2023, this time it was Grigor Dimitrov who was chosen by his peers as the most professional, honest and fair-play player on the circuit. A well-deserved distinction for a player appreciated by all.
Reacting to the news, Dimitrov declared: "I'm very grateful, very grateful to all my fans, to all my colleagues, to everyone who has supported me all this time. I'm very lucky. I thank you all for this incredible recognition and I will make sure to keep moving forward and strive to be the best."
