Rusedski on the Swiatek affair: "The main problem is the speed with which positive tests are processed".

Rusedski on the Swiatek affair: The main problem is the speed with which positive tests are processed.

Reactions continue to pour in after world number 2 Iga Swiatek tested positive for trimetazidine.

Suspended for a month, she was able to return to finish the season at the WTA Finals (eliminated in the group stage) and at the Billie Jean King Cup with Poland.

Former world No. 4 at his highest ranking in 1997, Greg Rusedski wrote a message on his official X account (formerly Twitter).

"I think the main problem is the speed at which positive tests are processed. Some players have been in the same situation and their cases have not been dealt with in the same way.

As an athlete subject to the World Anti-Doping Agency, you are 100% responsible, regardless of how you were contaminated," he wrote.
