Petkovic on Sinner, Zverev, Alcaraz and others: "Are these guys fucking good?"

Petkovic on Sinner, Zverev, Alcaraz and others: Are these guys fucking good?

Invited to speak on Rennae Stubbs' latest podcast, former world number 9 Andrea Petkovic returned to the subject of the current ATP rankings.

Noting the huge gap between some of the players at the top of the rankings, she wondered: "I looked at the top 5 today, and what jumped out at me was that Taylor is number 4, Daniil Medvedev is number 5, and they have about 5,000 points. Carlos and Zverev have around 7,000 points and Jannik has almost 12,000.

So I think Carlos, Sascha and Jannik stand out at the front of the pack. And the points are telling, because 2,000 points between Carlos and Taylor and Daniil is the equivalent of a Grand Slam title for them with a first-round defeat for Alcaraz, which won't happen. It's a big difference.

And it's crazy that Sinner is so far ahead. So my question to you is, are the others that bad or are these guys fucking good?"
