Alcaraz discusses his meeting with Federer at the Laver Cup: I asked him what he did to stay motivated for so many years

The documentary series *Carlos Alcaraz: My Way* was released this Wednesday on the streaming platform Netflix. Unsurprisingly, many clips from the three episodes have already been shared on social media.

One such moment features Alcaraz’s encounter with Federer during the 2024 Laver Cup, where the El Palmar native had the chance to seek advice from the Swiss legend.

Alcaraz: *"I asked him what he did to stay motivated for so many years. Year after year. He told me: ‘You have to enjoy the journey. You have to find joy in every tournament, no matter where you go. Spending time with friends, going to the movies… Making sure you always have something to do wherever you travel.'"*

Federer: *"Balancing life is tricky, isn’t it? You want to be everywhere, but you can’t. It’s a real challenge to fit all the puzzle pieces together. Sometimes, it’s important to take a break, step away from it all. And when you come back, you’re excited to be in the spotlight again."*
