Alcaraz overcomes De Minaur and advances to the semifinals in Barcelona
Alcaraz defeated De Minaur in the quarterfinals of the Barcelona tournament. With this win, he extends his clay-court winning streak to eight matches and secures a spot in the final four in Catalonia.
After a tightly contested start, the Spaniard fought back from a break down to claim the first set (7-5). The world No. 2 then dominated to seal the victory (7-5, 6-3) in 1 hour and 38 minutes.

De Minaur, meanwhile, had been in strong form on clay, having reached the semifinals in Monte-Carlo.
Next, Alcaraz will face the winner of the match between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Arthur Fils.
