Naomi Osaka will play her first US Open semifinal since her 2020 title win in the night from Thursday to Friday.

But the Japanese player has been setting social media on fire since the start of the tournament, bringing a customized Labubu to each of her matches, which is attached to her bag.

These plush toys, originally from China, have been very trendy for several months, and Osaka is riding the wave during this US Open while also paying tribute to tennis legends.

She decided to name her first-round Labubu Billie Jean Bling, in reference to Billie Jean King. Then she followed up with Arthur Flashe (Arthur Ashe), Althea Glitterson (Althea Gibson), and Andre Swagassi (Andre Agassi) yesterday after qualifying for the semifinals.

However, the 27-year-old player admitted in an interview that she "is not a collector" and does not plan to continue this trend after the US Open.
