Coric announces he underwent shoulder surgery
Borna Coric has not played a match on the tour since his first-round defeat at the US Open last August. The Croatian has not won a match since his title in Aix-en-Provence in May.
On his Instagram account, he revealed he has been suffering from a shoulder issue, which required surgery.
"I can still play tennis"
He stated: "Hello everyone. Unfortunately, due to a shoulder injury I sustained last May during training, which has been bothering me since, I had to undergo surgery.
A big thank you to Dr. Olivier Verborgt and the entire team at AZ Monica hospital for their incredible care and professionalism. The doctor was very satisfied with how the operation went and the overall condition of my shoulder.
So, I can still play tennis. Thank you all for your support. See you soon on the court!"
