Davis Cup: Khachanov nostalgic: "I miss playing for the national team"
Russia is still not allowed to compete in the Davis Cup. The last time they participated, they won the trophy in 2021.
Karen Khachanov spoke about this to the media TASS. He stated that he wants to play in this competition again.
"Honestly, the Davis Cup has changed a lot recently, the format and everything else. I don't know if the new format has become popular. We experienced it with two other formats and saw the evolution of the Davis Cup.
"We are the defending champions"
Overall, I miss playing for the national team. We finished the season on a high note. We won the Davis Cup in 2021 and haven't played since.
So we are the defending champions. I would like to play again. We had, and still have, a strong team. The three of us (Daniil Medvedev, Karen Khachanov, and Andrey Rublev) are still playing, so we can hope for better."
