Del Potro to bid farewell to tennis against Djokovic on December 1 in Buenos Aires
Retired from the courts since February 2022, Juan Martin Del Potro will be bidding a well-deserved farewell in front of his home crowd.
In Buenos Aires, where he played the last tournament of his career almost three years ago, the Argentine will, as planned, play an exhibition match against Novak Djokovic.
This will take place on Sunday December 1 at the Parque Roca in the South American capital.
The opposition between these two Grand Slam winners has been dubbed "The Final Challenge". It will be the last match for the 2009 US Open winner.
In the last few hours, the player has published a video expressing the pain he feels every day, particularly when climbing the stairs in his home, after having undergone six knee operations.
He will be able to offer himself a moment of comfort by challenging one of his closest friends on the circuit, in the person of Djokovic.
