Defeated a month ago at the Madrid Masters 1000 by Matteo Arnaldi, Novak Djokovic was able to take his revenge during his quarterfinal in Geneva.
Djokovic won in two sets (6-4, 6-4), although he did not deliver a perfect performance, with 16 winners to 23 unforced errors. Trailing 4-1 in the second set, the Serb managed to turn the tide and win five consecutive games to secure his place in the tournament's semifinals.
Two wins away from a 100th career title, Djokovic will face the winner of the last quarterfinal between Alexei Popyrin and Cameron Norrie.
