Djokovic's Shocking Confession to Schwartzman: 'I Want the Young Guys to Keep Running!'
Diego Schwartzman had the chance to chat with Novak Djokovic in the ATP tour locker rooms.
Asked in episode 5 of "Pod Laver Arena" why the Serb refuses to leave the stage, he said this:
"Novak is still here! I saw him in the locker room, he told me: 'I'm here because I want the young guys to keep running on the court!'

However, while Novak Djokovic's record in Melbourne is simply historic, the context has changed.
For two seasons, the Serb hasn't lifted a major trophy. The reason? Two names now dominate the horizon: Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner.
And Schwartzman doesn't miss it. He openly acknowledges that the Italian and the Spaniard have taken a lead:
"Sinner and Alcaraz are a few steps ahead of the others right now. Their level is unreal.
The Australian Open is always special. It's the first tournament, it's tough, but these guys often do well. Let's see..."
