Draper to play at Queen's in 2025
Some time after Carlos Alcaraz's announcement, Jack Draper's participation in the Queen's tournament has just been made official.
After a promising 2024 season, the British No. 1 has fond memories of the London tournament, where he knocked out defending champion Carlos Alcaraz in the second round (7-6, 6-3).
Semi-finalist at the US Open and then crowned champion in Vienna, the current world number 15 finished 2024 on a high and is likely to arrive in 2025 with great ambitions.
Interviewed, Draper proclaimed his love for the London tournament: "Playing at Queen's, in front of the British public, there's nothing like it. I used to watch this tournament every summer when I was a kid, and I made my tour debut there. The LTA has organized a great event in West London and it's easy to understand why the top players want to come back and play here every year.
This year has been extraordinary in so many ways. I reached my first Grand Slam semi-final, won two titles and played one of my best matches against Carlos (Alcaraz) at Queen's Club - but next season, I'm looking forward to building on my momentum."
