Back at the All In Academy in Lyon last summer, the 22-year-old Frenchwoman Elsa Jacquemot is no longer training with Simon Blanc or the setup run by Thierry Ascione and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

A decision revealed by Le Progrès that has stunned French tennis as her 2026 season gets off to a rough start with just one win in eight matches.

Tensions had also flared at the Australian Open when Simon Blanc stormed off the court in fury, leaving the Frenchwoman to deal with her frustration alone against Yulia Putintseva in the second round.

Accompanied by the France team staff

Today, without a dedicated coach ahead of Indian Wells and Miami, Elsa Jacquemot will be supported by the staff of France's Billie Jean King Cup team.

Captain Alizé Cornet and coach Bertrand Perret will fill in on an interim basis. This temporary arrangement underscores the challenges facing the young Lyonnaise under the pressure of the WTA Tour.
