The final of the ATP 250 in Montpellier this Sunday pitted defending champion Felix Auger-Aliassime against Adrian Mannarino. The match started in the worst possible way for the Frenchman with an early break.

He fell 6-3 in the first set, conceding another break in the final game. The second set was more closely contested between the two players. It was decided in a tie-break, after Mannarino saved a match point on his serve.

A Rise in the ATP Rankings

The Frenchman secured the first mini-break, but the Canadian responded by winning three points in a row to ultimately triumph 6-3, 7-6.

With this title, the Canadian will climb two spots in the ATP rankings, moving up to world No. 6.
