For Richard Gasquet's penultimate tournament before retirement, which will take place at Roland-Garros, he has received a wild-card entry for the Bordeaux Challenger.

An ATP 175 category event, the tournament will be held from May 12 to 18 at Villa Primrose, coinciding with the second week of the Rome Masters 1000. The previous edition's winner was Arthur Fils, now ranked 13th in the world and France's top player.

This year’s edition will feature a strong field, with Wawrinka (WC), Mpetshi Perricard, Nakashima, Griekspoor, and Moutet all set to compete.

Gasquet is coming off a second-round loss in Monte-Carlo against Altmaier (7-5, 5-7, 6-2). Before Bordeaux, the Béziers native is expected to play the Aix-en-Provence Challenger (April 28 to May 4, 2025).
