Gilles Moretton to head FFT until 2028
In the election for the presidency of the French Tennis Federation held this Saturday, outgoing president Gilles Moretton was re-elected for a second term.
The "Unis pour notre Fédération" list, led by Moretton, won with 61.19% of the vote against his opponent Germain Roesch and the "Clubs! At the heart of our commitment" list, which received only 38.81% of the vote.
The 66-year-old former player thus convinced regional and local election delegates and club presidents to re-elect him.
Elected for the first time in 2021, Gilles Moretton will remain at the helm of the FFT until 2028, despite a mandate in which his management of French tennis and the top level was criticized.
