"I appreciate that my interests can be incorporated into my outfits," the uniqueness of Gauff in promoting her brands
New Balance, Rolex, American Eagle, and Ray-Ban—these are the sponsors of world number three Coco Gauff. On the tour since 2018, the American has established herself as the future of women's tennis and also as a true global brand.
The highest-paid female athlete in 2024 ($35 million), she remains so this year, even positioning herself at the same level as Serbian legend Novak Djokovic with a total of $37.2 million ($12.2 million from sports, $25 million from sponsors).
If the 21-year-old player has reached this level of salary and recognition, it is partly thanks to her determination to have a say in the development of the brands she promotes, especially during the design of her match outfits:
"I appreciate that my interests can be incorporated into my outfits. I'm a huge Marvel fan, and many superheroines have cutouts in their costumes. I wanted my outfit to be inspired by that.
I don't know if anyone noticed, but I wore a different outfit for every tournament this year! It's something I'm very proud of." Statements reported by the newspaper L’Équipe.
