"I Love Playing with the Boys and Rivaling Them," Kalinskaya Reveals
Anna Kalinskaya has opened up about how she likes to train on a daily basis.
Interviewed by Championnat media, the 27-year-old player said:
"I like being with my team to ensure maximum privacy. I trained with Caty McNally once and we had an excellent session together.
Not only did we play and joke around, but we also did some exercises, even though I admit it felt strange.
I love playing with the boys and rivaling them, even though my coach constantly tells me to calm down in those situations.
I get a bit angry because I can't beat them, of course. Ultimately, they're on another level, like when Aryna Sabalenka faced Nick Kyrgios. It's very hard to compete."
"I've Never Dreamed of Winning a Grand Slam"
Finally, the Russian revealed her goals for the rest of her career.
"The truth is, I've never dreamed of winning a Grand Slam; I focus more on the present moment.
Traveling abroad was already something fantastic—it's one of the best things about being a tennis player.
The opportunity it gives you to travel and discover new places.
But now that I know my potential better and how to progress, I see winning a Grand Slam as possible, even if it's hard to achieve."
