The dispute between Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Patrick Mouratoglou has far exceeded borders, sparking reactions as far as the United States. In his Served podcast, Andy Roddick notably defended the former world No. 5.

Jessica Pegula and Madison Keys also reacted to the debate in their The Player’s Box podcast. Like Roddick, the two Americans criticized Mouratoglou's remarks.

"It Was Disrespectful of Him"

Keys: "First off, I don't like this kind of debate. You can never really compare. In all sports, when you do it, it doesn't really work. But yes, Patrick has never been a pro, he's never played matches.

I find it was really disrespectful of him to say that Tsonga only had one good season. Mouratoglou's track record is coaching good players, but that's not what we're talking about here."

Pegula: "You can't tell a player he only had one good season when you're a coach and you've never played. And it's false anyway that Tsonga only had one good season."

As much as I love watching Alcaraz at his best, I'd love to see Alex taking this, he's such a tryer, and getting married and his humour and humility...

Favoritism?

Last year: Sinner seed 1, the organizers schedule Alcaraz on day 1, Sinner on day 2.

This year: Alcaraz seed 1, the organizers schedule Alcaraz on day 1, Sinner on day 3.

That means: 7 matches in 15 days for Alcaraz, 7 in 13 days for Sinner; and no rest day for Sinner between quarter and semis, 1 full day rest for Alcaraz.

Also, on the first very hot day, the organizers schedule Sinner...
