Jacquemot's Coach Walks Off Court Mid-Match After Her Criticism at Australian Open
Elsa Jacquemot endured a tough day against Yulia Putintseva. Routed 6-1, 6-2 in the second round of the Australian Open, she also lashed out at her coach, Simon Blanc.
“What a crazy scenario”
As RMC reported, he had previously coached her opponent, Putintseva. After losing the first five games, the Frenchwoman said of her coach: “He trained her for years and there are patterns he didn’t even tell me about—what a crazy scenario.”
Following the remark, Blanc decided to leave the court.
