Kazakh tennis federation optimistic for Rybakina: She's more determined than ever.

Elena Rybakina had a mixed 2024 season. The Kazakh didn't particularly shine in the Grand Slam, despite reaching the semi-finals at Wimbledon, but she did win three titles at the start of the year.

She also reached the final of the Masters 1000 in Doha and Miami.

From April onwards, however, her season was severely disrupted by repeated physical problems, forcing her to withdraw from numerous tournaments.

Bulat Utemuratov, President of the Kazakh Tennis Federation, spoke of Rybakina's year and her desire to bounce back stronger than ever in 2025.

"Elena has started the year well. She won tournaments in Brisbane, Abu Dhabi and Stuttgart.

She played in the finals in Miami and Qatar, achieved excellent results at Roland Garros and Wimbledon. Unfortunately, illness and injury interrupted her season.

I've spoken to Elena several times. She's focused on her comeback and is more determined than ever.

She's one of the most determined tennis players I've ever met.

Elena is working hard to get into shape and perform at the highest level," he told Championat.
