Krejcikova: "I wonder if I'll ever be completely free of pain again"
Barbora Krejcikova still hasn't played in 2025 due to a back injury.
Having just withdrawn from Indian Wells, the Czech player spoke about her injury to Sport CZ.
"The recovery isn't as quick as I'd hoped, it's true, but I'm doing everything I can to come back as soon as possible.
I wonder if I'll ever be completely free of pain again; right now, it's a situation that's stressing me out a lot.
It was during the summer when everything started to go wrong.
The transition from grass to clay is one of the most difficult tasks, and we had very little time to do it.
I remember the first day it rained, the second day it was hot, and I played in the afternoon during the hottest time, as well as long matches.
I noticed it the next day when my strength started to diminish rapidly.
After the first match, I felt dizzy and had cramps, I didn't feel well at all."
