Kvitova on her comeback: "I miss tennis".

Petra Kvitova makes her return to the professional circuit, having not played since October 2, 2023 in Beijing.
She'll be playing this week in Austin, where she'll take on Jodie Burrage in the first round. Speaking about her comeback, the Czech: "I'm not expecting anything.
I'm here, and that's already a big thing for me. Sometimes, I'm really surprised by myself.
I ask myself why I did it? But I think I would have regretted it if I hadn't come back.
I'm not setting myself any goals, I'll never play as well as I did when I was winning tournaments. Yes, we'll see. I want to enjoy playing tennis, and I think that will take time.
I've tried to explain to everyone that I've come back because I love it. I miss tennis, I've loved tennis itself since I was four years old.
So I think the love of the sport brought me back to tennis. I miss the hard work, the sweat, that's why I'm here.
I don't know how long I'll continue to enjoy it, or how my body will react. I think it will be very difficult at first.
But we'll see how I manage. We'll see how it goes."
