Laver Cup: Carnage in Team World, Agassi Calls for New Reinforcement
Defending the title looks complicated for Team World: deprived of its American leaders, it will finally welcome Alex de Minaur.
Last year's winner of the seventh edition of the Laver Cup, Team World must manage the cascade of withdrawals by American players, starting with Ben Shelton and Tommy Paul, who were followed by Frances Tiafoe this Friday.
With just one week until the start of hostilities, the world number 29 has decided to withdraw from the event.
Therefore, at the last minute, a significant reinforcement has been called in by Andre Agassi in the form of Alex de Minaur, world number 8 and US Open quarterfinalist. The Australian will team up with Taylor Fritz, Joao Fonseca, Francisco Cerundolo, Alex Michelsen, and Reilly Opelka.
