Ljubicic analyzes Sinner's victory in Rome: "He wasn't at his full potential"

Easily defeating the Argentine Navone (6-3, 6-4), Sinner has advanced to the third round of the Rome Masters 1000. After his break, the Italian reassured fans with his return, as analyzed by Federer's former coach, Ivan Ljubicic, on Sky Sport:
"There were no surprises. The match unfolded exactly as we expected. Jannik was clearly stronger, but above all, he was very composed. He wasn’t at his full potential, but he played his game, asserting himself at home in Rome. He settled down toward the end of the first set when he realized Navone had no way to trouble him."
For a spot in the round of 16, the world number one will face the Dutchman De Jong, ranked 93rd globally. The two players have only met once before, but never on clay, with their last match dating back to the 2024 Australian Open.
