"My son wanted to come to China": Djokovic reveals the other side of his life as a father and champion
During his Asian tour, Novak Djokovic opened up honestly about a topic rarely discussed in the media: the balance between his life as a top-level athlete and that of a family man.
"My son plays a lot of tennis, he has a great passion for the sport and is very informed about everything that's happening. He wanted to come with me to China, but he has his school obligations," explains the Serbian.
For several years now, Djokovic no longer hides how much his wife Jelena and his children have become his pillar. When he goes through moments of doubt or fatigue, it's neither his records nor his trophies that re-energize him. It's their words.
"They see me as the best, and when I'm a bit down, they remind me of everything I've accomplished and what I can continue to do," he concludes emotionally.
