Nadal: "My second best surface is grass"
Rafael Nadal was a guest on Andy Roddick's podcast, Served. Considered the king of clay, he spoke about his second best surface.
When asked, the Majorcan responded with grass, an answer that makes sense since the second Grand Slam tournament he won was Wimbledon.
He stated: "My second best surface is grass. Without playing in 2009, I played five consecutive finals at Wimbledon.
Honestly, I preferred playing Djokovic on grass rather than on hard court."
A statement that did not fail to elicit a reaction from Nick Kyrgios: "Honestly, Rafa was ridiculous on grass, left-handed serve, excellent hand.
I can also confirm that he was a nightmare on hard court."
