"Not interested in him at first": the unexpected engagement of Cameron Norrie
Cameron Norrie chose one of the most symbolic settings of his life to take a new step: getting engaged.
It was there, in the heart of the landscapes where he was born (South Africa), that he proposed to his partner, Louise Jacobi, an American stylist living with him in Monte-Carlo.
On Instagram, Jacobi made the news official with photos full of emotion: embraces, knowing looks, and above all a sparkling ring.
Louise Jacobi: the revelation of a beginning... far from love at first sight
While their closeness now jumps out, their story didn't start under the best of signs.
In 2022, Jacobi confided that she was "not interested" in Norrie when they met in New York. The chaotic lifestyle linked to professional tennis strongly held her back.
But a few months later, after her employer went bankrupt, Norrie impulsively invited her to join him at the Vienna Open.
"I thought to myself: this guy doesn't lead an ordinary life... and I can't just bump into him on the street corner for dinner," she recounts. She finally accepted: five days planned, and a relationship that never stopped since.
