Keys and Pegula Discuss Virus Present at WTA Finals in Riyadh
On the Player’s Box podcast hosted by Madison Keys, Jessica Pegula, Jennifer Brady, and Desirae Krawczyk, they discussed the presence of a virus during the WTA Finals in Riyadh.
Because of it, Keys was unable to play her third group match against Elena Rybakina. Mirra Andreeva was also ill.
Pegula stated: "I started getting sick, and I was telling myself: 'Jess, stay away from everyone. Don't go near anyone, because we were all dying.'
It's really annoying when that happens, especially during a tournament where it spreads quickly. We all eat together, we train, we use the gym. So it was really unfortunate."
