Paolini admires the new Big 2: "Alcaraz and Sinner make us thrill"
The Italian explains how Alcaraz and Sinner impress and even inspire female players on the WTA circuit with their talent, game intelligence, and respect on the court.
The rivalry between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner has given us memorable moments and points throughout this 2025 season, and fans are obviously hoping to see more in upcoming tournaments.
A new duo that imposes an undivided domination over the rest of the men's circuit and whose performances are also admired by players on the WTA circuit, like Jasmine Paolini.
The Italian, qualified for the BJK Cup final in Shenzhen, was asked about this Big 2 that has been established since 2024:
"They are two different personalities, two different players, who make us thrill and entertain us greatly on the court. The fact that they are so different makes this rivalry even more beautiful. They are well-mannered, respectful, intelligent, and play at a great level.
On the court, I tend to make more noise, be more smiling, so in that respect, I resemble Alcaraz more. But I love watching Jannik play, the way he hassles the opponent from the baseline and, on a personal level, it helps me more to see how Jannik plays and moves on the court."
