Paolini, Boulter's Conqueror in Madrid: I Still Need a Few Days to Handle Everything as Best as Possible

Jasmine Paolini has advanced to the third round in Madrid. The Italian, ranked world No. 6, defeated Katie Boulter in straight sets (6-1, 6-2). Delivering a strong performance, last year's double Grand Slam finalist appears to be gaining momentum under the guidance of her new coach, Marc Lopez.

After a mixed start to the season, Paolini is gradually regaining confidence. Following her victory over the British player, Paolini reflected on her performance against the world No. 40.

"She’s an excellent player—I expected the match to be tougher, but it was enjoyable to play in this atmosphere, in front of this crowd. I’m hoping for good things in this tournament.

That said, I also know I still need to adjust to the altitude in Madrid and the high bounces, which aren’t easy to handle. Let’s say I still need a few more days to manage everything as well as possible," said Paolini, who will face Maria Sakkari next, as reported by *Super Tennis*.
