After repeated tie-breaks and a nail-biting decisive doubles match, Poland is celebrating, eliminating the defending champion United States in the United Cup semifinals.

However, the scenario seemed off to a bad start when Iga Swiatek fell to Coco Gauff (6-4, 6-2) in the second match, allowing the Americans to level the tie.

The world No. 2 couldn't capitalize on the lead gained by Hurkacz over Fritz (7-6, 7-6) in the opening match.

A Crazy Doubles Match

That's why everything came down to the mixed doubles.

Katarzyna Kawa and Jan Zielinski faced Coco Gauff and Harrison in a tense battle that narrowly swung in favor of the Polish team (7-6(5), 7-6(3)).

Indeed, the Americans failed to seize their numerous opportunities and were broken twice in the second set.
