Jasmine Paolini and Donna Vekic battled it out for two hours and 51 minutes on Centre Court grass before finally deciding on a winner.
This semi-final, won 10-8 in the third set super tie-break by the Italian (2-6, 6-4, 7-6), is the longest in the history of Wimbledon in the women's singles draw.
Jasmine Paolini (after the announcer had given her the news): "Okay, so I guess it's normal to be tired (laughs). It was a very intense match. Now I'm going to have to recover as well as I can. I'm going to take an ice bath because my legs are a bit tired (laughs)."
