Andrey Rublev is very hard to pin down.
Capable of playing to perfection or completely collapsing mentally, it's hard to predict his performances.
Eliminated by Dimitrov at the US Open (6-3, 7-6, 1-6, 3-6, 6-3), the Russian made a successful comeback on Friday.
Faced with the returning Pablo Carreno Busta, he first completely smothered his opponent before getting into a bit of a tailspin and finding himself locked in a trap match (6-0, 4-6, 6-4).
Although he came through, this kind of result isn't exactly reassuring.
In any case, he will face Davidovich Fokina in the Round of 16.
