Rune Adds Former Sinner and Djokovic Fitness Coach to His Team
Holger Rune, who has made headlines this season (reaching the final at Indian Wells and winning the title in Barcelona), is looking to improve his consistency before launching into the North American tour.
Alongside the legendary Andre Agassi, who joined his team last week in Washington, the Dane will also welcome a new fitness coach to his staff.
This is the highly regarded Marco Panichi, who worked with Novak Djokovic for seven years and more recently with Jannik Sinner before being let go by the Italian just before Wimbledon.
The news was revealed by Rune’s mother, Aneke, to the Danish outlet BT:
"Marco Panichi brings considerable experience, not only physically but also in everything related to developing a Grand Slam winner. He raises the bar even higher. We’ve always had a great relationship with him, and he has always appreciated Holger."
Panichi will join the world No. 8’s team starting at the Cincinnati Masters 1000.
