Sabalenka on her rivalry with Swiatek: 'It's not just me and Iga'

At the Australian Open press conference, Aryna Sabalenka stoked the flames of her rivalry with Iga Swiatek. The Belarusian, all smiles, hopes to face the Pole more often this season, while reminding that the battle for the women's tennis throne isn't limited to two names.

Speaking at a press conference at the Australian Open, Aryna Sabalenka discussed her rivalry with Iga Swiatek and also named her other competitors.

'I hope we'll play each other more often'

She said: 'It's not just me and Iga. There's Coco (Gauff), Elena (Rybakina), Jessica (Pegula)… I don't want to forget anyone. It's crazy to think we only played once last year. We haven't faced each other yet this year.

I hope we'll play each other more often this season. As I said, it's not just us. I also have a great rivalry with many other players.'

Despite top-10 ATP rankings and consistent excellence, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Gaël Monfils, Richard Gasquet, and Gilles Simon never claimed a Grand Slam title, enduring mockery from French media amid Big 3 dominance. A deep dive into a talented generation defined by sky-high expectations and brutal competition.

Carlos Alcaraz has the New younger person to win the Australian Open and I hope he will regain French open 2026 also. As per my Guess he will be the best player to achieve the 20 Grand Slams in Younger age Only. I hope all the best to Carlos.
