Serena Williams Honest About Her Post-Career Plans: "I Won’t Launch Any Other Business"

Retired since 2022, Serena Williams remains active in the entrepreneurial world. The 23-time Grand Slam champion recently announced a partnership between her brand WYN Beauty and the e-commerce platform Shopify.
In an interview with People, the American star opened up about the emotional and personal aspects of her involvement in business:
"Of course, it’s expensive. I’m here in California, away from my kids. That’s a big cost for me because I spend so much time with them every day. They’re very attached to me, which part of me loves. So there’s always a price to pay.
My whole life, I’ve had to ask myself what it would cost me to win a trophy, to spend less time with my family, to lose friends and relationships. It’s very costly. You have to decide if it’s worth it for you."
Regarding her post-career plans, the former world No. 1 intends to stop at this new venture:
"I’m done! I won’t launch anything else like this. I’m happy working on WYN Beauty. I’m happy being a mom, and I’m happy with my business—and that’s already a lot. Everything’s good!"
