Sinner, Alcaraz, Djokovic, or Musetti: Which players have the most points to defend on grass?

The grass season began on Monday, although many of the tour's top players are enjoying a well-deserved break after an epic conclusion to Roland-Garros.
With just three weeks of preparation before Wimbledon, the grass season remains extremely short.
This is a good opportunity to take a look at the points the top 10 players will have to defend, starting with world No. 1 Jannik Sinner, who won the Halle tournament and reached the quarterfinals at Wimbledon last year. The Italian will be defending 900 points—nothing to worry about given his lead over his closest rival, Carlos Alcaraz, in the ATP rankings (10,880 points vs. 8,850).
Speaking of Alcaraz, he will defend 2,050 points as the reigning Wimbledon champion. The Spaniard will aim for a third consecutive title but will first compete at Queen’s next week. It’s an opportunity to potentially add 500 points in a tournament he already won in 2023.
Behind him, Alexander Zverev could lose just 350 points. He can approach this part of the season with confidence, especially since he’s already playing this week in Stuttgart.
Among the other players with high stakes, Novak Djokovic (1,300 points) will once again need to rely on his grass-court expertise. The 24-time Grand Slam champion reached the Wimbledon final last year and will undoubtedly be among the favorites again this season, even at 38 years old.
As for Lorenzo Musetti, he accumulated 1,210 points by reaching the Queen’s final (losing to Tommy Paul) and the semifinals at Wimbledon.
