Luciano Darderi claimed his fifth career title on Sunday in Santiago. Now at a career-high world No. 21, he compared the Top 20 level to players ranked 21-30 in an interview for Clay Tennis.

He said: “The difference is striking at every level: mental, physical, and on-court. The best players excel in decisive moments. Their level fluctuates less than that of other players.
The ranking is impartial; it rewards the most consistent players or those who have made a meteoric rise. Regularity is paramount. Statistically, the top 20 players are more consistent.”
