"To qualify for the ATP Finals without having to chase for 8 weeks", Musetti reveals his goals for 2026
Interviewed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lorenzo Musetti spoke about his goals for the upcoming 2026 season, with the Australian Open particularly in his sights.
He stated: "Of course, I need to be more consistent to close the gap with Alcaraz and Sinner. I had the chance to face them last season, and I always lost. But it was important to learn the essential lessons from those matches; that's how I understood where I could improve.
"Reaching the second week in Australia"
In the short term, I want to reach the second week in Australia; that's my initial goal. Last year, I was very close, then I lost a match that could have gone differently, which would have allowed me to regain momentum.
And then, if everything goes as planned, I will play the ATP Finals, without having to chase for eight weeks to qualify."
