Tribute from Isner after the assassination of Charlie Kirk, far-right influencer
Charlie Kirk, a well-known activist and Trump ally, was fatally shot on Wednesday afternoon (09/10/25). While debating with members of the crowd, the 31-year-old man was shot and killed during a campaign event at Utah Valley University.
Videos of the incident circulated on social media. In them, a gunshot can be heard, and Kirk is seen briefly clutching his neck before collapsing in his chair.
The event prompted a response from former player John Isner on his X account. While he paid tribute to Kirk's memory, he also took the opportunity to criticize all those who were celebrating his death.
"If what happened in Utah today didn't sicken you, you are seriously ill. Charlie spoke the truth."
