Tsitsipas Reveals His First Drinks Night with Federer and Nadal at Laver Cup
In an interview on the podcast "What's The Call", Stefanos Tsitsipas opened up about the 2019 Laver Cup, which he won and celebrated appropriately with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
"It was the very first time in my life that I drank alcohol and I didn't know what to order. I had never tasted anything before.
Roger was telling me: 'Come on, you have to have a drink', and I replied: 'Okay, if Roger says I have to drink, then I have to drink.'"
The Greek also recounted that he and Dominic Thiem were dancing and singing on the tables.
Nadal and Federer: Different Personalities
Finally, Tsitsipas also shared insights into the personalities of the two former circuit stars.
"Rafa is more introverted and doesn't talk like Roger. Roger is someone very self-assured. He comes up to you, talks to you, and asks fun questions.
He's a kid, in the good sense of the word, and I like that he's like that."
For reference, the 2019 Laver Cup took place in Geneva and featured Team Europe against Team World.
The Europeans won the competition with a score of 13 points to 11.
